Gifted Support Teacher (K-12)

The School District of Jenkintown is actively seeking a driven and dynamic educator for a Gifted Support Teacher (K-12) position effective December 10, 2024. We are looking for individuals who excel at flexible and creative thinking and are eager to join a community has had an unwavering commitment to excellence in education for over 150 years. The Gifted Support Teacher will serve gifted students in grades K-12 and utilize current strategies and theories to plan, organize and create an environment in which gifted learners can feel challenged and safe to explore. This is a full time, contract position. The Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification Staffing Policy Guidelines (CSPGS) #105 for Gifted Enrichment Programs PK-12 allows an individual with a Pennsylvania Instructional I or II certificate to teach an enrichment program for gifted students regardless of content or grade level.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university
  • Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Certification
  • 2+ years of dynamic teaching experiences

Instructional Aide

The School District of Jenkintown is actively seeking a full-time instructional assistant to support students with special needs by providing individualized behavioral and academic supports with an emphasis on functional emotional and social skills development. Instructional assistants help implement adapted academic programming, student goals, Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP), and specially designed instruction as outlined in the student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

Before and After School Care Program

The School District of Jenkintown is seeking Assistant Group Supervisors.  The before-school program hours are 6:45 am to 8:30 am, and the after-school program hours are 2:45 pm to 6:00 pm. There are flexible schedule options available and college students are encouraged to apply. Lunch & Recess Assistant
The School District of Jenkintown seeks enthusiastic, energetic, student-centered adults to assist during elementary lunches and recess.  Successful candidates will help students access their lunch while in the cafeteria and supervise students during recess to ensure their safety. We have a number of spring coaching opportunities currently available in Jenkintown!

At Jenkintown, we believe athletic and co-curricular experiences provide opportunities for our students to learn and grow. Our coaches work to create an environment that promotes growth, development, and success for their athletes.
